Magdalena Lenartowicz

Magdalena Lenartowicz draws from a full spectrum of colors inspired by the shades of nature. Here, we encounter azure blues, soft pastels, sunlit yellows, warm ochres, and sandy beiges—colors that evoke associations with the elements: earth, water, and air. In addition to traditional painting techniques, such as thickly applied acrylic paint using a palette knife or gold leaf shimmering between the folds of texture and intentional surface cracks, we also find innovative solutions. The artist does not stop in her creative explorations; she experiments with techniques that go beyond the conventional artistic lexicon. She is drawn to forgotten, seemingly unremarkable, and worn-out objects. A keen observer will notice roasted Arabica coffee beans embedded in her paintings, reminiscent of lively conversations in Warsaw cafés. The rich brown hue and coarse texture of the coffee, combined with golden-sandy tones, inspired her to create a new series of paintings titled Energy of the Earth. The tranquility and warmth radiating from these abstract, gradient canvases captivate the viewer, inviting contemplation.
